Keeping Up Appearances is the stage play of the well known BBC sitcom, and is centred on the life of Hyacinth Bucket, who insists that her surname is pronounced "Bouquet", an obsessive and determined snobbish middle class woman who desperately and continually looks for opportunities to climb the social ladder by attempting to impress people - particularly rich people - and portraying herself as more affluent than she truly is.  Her efforts are often hampered by her lower class extended family and friends and the reality of her working class background.

This specially written for the stage script revolves around Emmet (the poor chap next door who lives in constant fear of her singing) who is directing a play at the local village hall, but when Hyacinth is cast in the play's leading role, disaster is in the making!

Director Rob Snelling and a fantastic cast will bring this comedy to life at the Repertory Theatre on 8th, 9th, 10th and 15th, 16th, 17th September.
