The Dorothy Scott Bushland is bordered by Blechynden and Barlee Streets in the middle of Bridgetown and is a small remnant of bushland just over 1.5 hectares in a residential area. The canopy of Jarrah and Marri includes some large and old trees and a healthy understory of shrubs and ground covers.
Dorothy Scott (1891-1989) was a pioneer, farmer, botanist and visionary environmentalist, as well as the first patron of the Bridgetown-Greenbushes Friends of the Forest.
