Book here with a local...

Once the apple growing centre of the state, Bridgetown-Greenbushes is now famous for scenic drives, forests, starry nights, and the longest continually flowing river in the state, the mighty Blackwood.

Whether you want to stay on a farm and meet the locals, or perhaps a bed and breakfast or self-contained accommodation, the only town in the South-West to be listed by the National Trust as a Heritage Town (2000) combines tranquillity and hospitality with dynamic festivals, arts and craft, music and sporting events.

Adults escaping to the country can experience the breathtaking views of rolling green hills, early morning mists on the river, heritage buildings, gourmet dining, boutique shops, wines and markets featuring local produce.  For a list of accessible businesses in Bridgetown, please click here.

Families can enjoy the walking trails, canoeing, feeding animals and horse riding or visit the Brierley Jigsaw Gallery (the only gallery of its kind in the southern hemisphere) and the Greenbushes Eco Cultural Discovery Centre for hands-on activities.

These are just a few of the specialities of this beautiful region - the ideal place to relax and establish a base from which to explore the South-West's myriad of attractions.  Just three hours' drive from Perth and just over an hour to the Margaret River region.

There is always something going on here, and the area is well known for its spectacular events such as the Blues at Bridgetown, Festival of Country Gardens, Bridgetown in the Winter Festival, and many more.  Please click here to visit our Events page for a listing of what's happening and what's coming up.
