Words in the Valley Readers & Writers Festival

The eighth Words in the Valley Readers and Writers festival is to be held in the Bridgetown Regional Library on the weekend of 27th – 28th July. The festival is held in conjunction with the Blackwood Poetry Prize to be held on 29th July at The Cidery, Bridgetown. The weekend commences with a sundowner and author talk on the Friday evening followed by writing and publishing workshops on the Saturday and concludes with the poetry competition prize giving and open mike event on the Sunday. The events are open to all levels of experience and there is a children’s workshop and activity on the Saturday morning for budding storytellers.

Description

Through the workshop experience, people will be taught various techniques, plus the opportunity to workshop and learn writing styles may forge inspiration in new and exciting ways.
